Cortex

Your plant, compiled. Not indexed.

Cortex connects read-only to the historians, file stores, and drawing sets the plant already runs, and compiles the entire estate into one knowledge graph in under 48 hours: equipment, lines, instruments, documents, and the topology between them. It rebuilds as your data changes. The graph is never an archive.

Why compiling beats indexing

Search tools index text. About 5% of a P&ID is text. The rest is topology: the symbols, lines, and connections that carry what the sheet actually says.

  • A text scan reads the labels. It can find a tag string. It cannot tell you what feeds that valve, what it protects, or where the line goes when it leaves the sheet.
  • Topology crosses sheets. A single process line runs through off-page connectors across tens of thousands of sheets. An index holds them as separate documents. A compile holds them as one connected plant.
  • Meaning lives in relationships. A relief valve matters because of what sits behind it. A bypass matters because of what it bypasses. None of that is written anywhere as text. It is drawn.

Cortex extracts the symbols, tags, and lines from every drawing, follows them across sheets the way an engineer does, and turns each equipment item, line, instrument, and document into a node with explicit relationships, cross-referenced to the drawings it came from. That is the difference between a search result and an answer.

The compile

From source systems to a queryable plant.

Cortex reads what is actually there: the formats the plant already produces, at the scale it produces them. Nothing is moved. Nothing is rewritten.

01

Connect

Read-only into the historians, file stores, and drawing sets the plant already runs. P&IDs, process flow diagrams, datasheets, procedures, change packages, time-series data.

02

Read

Every sheet: the symbols, the tags, the lines, and the text too. Documents are read in place and cross-referenced to the drawings they describe.

03

Link

The topology: what connects to what. Off-page connectors resolve into continuous lines. Instrument loops, relief paths, and utilities become traceable structure.

04

Align

Historian tags attach to the instruments that produce them. The trend and the drawing that explains it become one record.

05

Rebuild

When a drawing is revised or new data lands, the graph recompiles. A living record of the plant as it is, not as it was at ingestion.

Day one, at full scale

The entire plant. Live in 48 hours.

Speed on a single drawing proves nothing. The bar is the entire estate, compiled and queryable, inside your own cloud.

18 hrsfrom source-system connection to a compiled, queryable plant.
<48 hrsfor the full estate: equipment, lines, instruments, documents, topology.
5%of a P&ID is text. Cortex compiles the rest.
Read-onlyconnections. Your systems stay untouched, your tenant stays isolated.
Deployment. Cortex runs in your cloud with per-tenant isolation and a full audit trail. Microsoft Fabric-native, deployable from Azure Marketplace.
