About the role

As a Senior Machine Learning / AI Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the core of our intelligent agents. You will be responsible for architecting the systems that power our AI, leading the charge on fine-tuning our models to achieve world-class expertise. This is a hands-on role that requires a deep understanding of machine learning principles, a creative approach to problem-solving, and a passion for building systems that can learn from complex, domain-specific knowledge. You will be instrumental in taking our AI from its current state to a robust, scalable, and highly proficient system ready for enterprise deployment.

Responsibilities

Architect and scale AI models: design and implement the architecture for scaling our machine learning models to support a multi-tenant, public-facing application
Lead fine-tuning efforts: oversee and enhance the fine-tuning process for our AI agents, using proprietary data to deepen their domain expertise
Improve data pipelines: optimize and manage the data pipelines that feed our models, ensuring data quality, efficiency, and scalability
Productionize machine learning models: work closely with our backend and infrastructure engineers to deploy, monitor, and maintain our AI models in a production environment
Research and innovate: stay at the frontier of AI and machine learning research, identifying and implementing new techniques to improve our agents' capabilities, especially in areas like knowledge graph integration and conversational AI
Collaborate cross-functionally: partner with our front-end, backend, and product teams to ensure our AI capabilities are integrated cleanly into our platform and meet the needs of our customers
Mentor and guide: as a senior member of the team, help mentor our junior AI/ML engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence

Requirements

Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
5+ years of hands-on experience in building, training, and deploying machine learning models in a production environment
Proven experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
Strong programming skills in Python and experience with relevant libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy)
Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and large language models (LLMs)
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

Nice to have

Experience working with knowledge graphs and graph databases
Prior experience in processing and extracting information from complex technical documents
Familiarity with industrial or manufacturing sectors
Experience in a startup environment, with a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting
A strong portfolio of projects or publications demonstrating a deep understanding of machine learning concepts and their application
